    Dining/Trip schedule

Hello everyone!! I'm new here, but an avid listener to WDW radio! I;m currently working on getting through all the back episodes I missed!

Anyway, we are going to WDW for our honeymoon in October. We have only been one time each, as childern and don't really remember it. So, I've been researching like MAD. I would like to post our daily plan and see what everyone thinks. I've based the parks on Len Testa's Unofficial Guide suggestions. We are doing the dining plan (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack/day).

    Sun Oct 4
    Travel Day
Sassagoula Floatworks (1 CS) for dinner

    Mon Oct 5
    Hollywood Studios
Lunch – Dine with a Disney Imagineer (not on DD)
Dinner – Mama Melrose ADR (1 TS)

    Tues Oct 6
    MK
Lunch – Pecos Bill Tall Tale In (1 CS)
Dinner – Raglan Road ADR (Downtown Disney, 1 TS)

    Weds Oct 7
    EPCOT
Lunch – Yakitori House (1 CS)
Dinner – Chefs De France ADR (1 TS)

    Thurs Oct 8
    Animal Kingdom
Lunch – Flame Tree BBQ (1 CS)
Dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse ADR (2 TS)

    Fri Oct 9
HS (off site day?) or just a laze around day...no meal plans....we'll see what happens

    Sat Oct 10
EP (drink around the world, YAY FOOD AND WINE!), snacks to help us hold our liquor
Lunch (1 CS) - wherever we end up when we feel hungry...we may not use this even
Rose and Crown ADR (1 TS) Illuminations seating

    Sun Oct 11
    Hollywood Studios
Lunch – Sci FI Dine in Theater ADR (1 TS))
Dinner (1 CS), may not stay in HS all day...MK in the evening?

    Mon Oct 12
    Travel Day
    Sassaagoula Floatworks (1 CS)

7 TS, 7 CS, 0 Snacks - we aren't planning out snacks, we'll take those as we go, probably using most at EPCOT enjoying Food and Wine.

Let me know what you think about our plan, good bad or ugly, I'm open to suggestions.

I should also add we are Disneyland APs, so we know the west coast parks VERY WELL. We aren;t sure how much time in MK we will need, we are more concerned about the other three parks.

I'm also debating Breathless II or one of the pontoon cruises (Wishes or Illuminations?)...is it worth the $$ for just the two of us? Is music piped in to Breathless II?

I think your dining plan looks great! Just remember, you can book your restaurants 90 days out from the day you arrive -- but I think you can book the lunch with an Immagianeer just 60 days out.

The Food & Wine festival is fantastic!!! I hope to be going down (from N.C) twice for the festival this year!! Save those snack credits to help you nibble around the world - although they won't get you very far!!

You're sort of right about not "planning" your snacks, in terms of your exact snacks on each exact day, but DO PLAN some MUST-DO SNACKS! That way you don't kick yourself when you settle for a cold soda and later find out there was a really yummy treat had you just rounded the bend!

    Some popular ones are...
    • Make your own treats (Goofy's Candy Company, Downtown Disney)
    • School Bread &/or Lefse (Norway Pavillion, Epcot)
    • Dole Whips (Aloha Aisle, MK & Capt Jack's, Polynesian Resort *the latter is self-serve)
    • Carrot Cake Cookies (Writer's Shop, DHS)
    • Funnel Cakes (Sleepy Hollow, MK *also available in Epcot, but not as a snack on DDP there)
    • Kaki Gori (Japan Pavillion, Epcot)
    • Assorted French pastries (France Pavillion, Epcot)
    • Assorted Sweets (Main Street Bakery, MK)
I'm sure others would love to add to this list too!

    Have fun!

    Re: Dining/Trip schedule

You may already know this but if you come one week earlier you will be able to get free dinning. That would save you around $560 from the price of your trip. The free dinning promotion runs till Oct 3rd.

    Re: Dining/Trip schedule

Yeah, I know free dining expires the day before we arrive, but that day is our wedding day, we can't very well reschedule all of that for free dining! We're bummed though, and are hoping they will run a promo right afterwards so we can save SOME money! Thanks for lookin out!
