Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
When we were at WDW last week, we lined up for Jungle Cruise and the ledges by the displays were so strewn with garbage (cups, straws, paper, you name it) we couldn't believe it. It seemed as though everyone had left their garbage in line. After a 30 minute wait, then the ride, we disembarked to find the garbage still there. It seems as though Disney isn't as quick to clean up as they used to be. We noticed this in different areas of the park but especially by Jungle Cruise.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
That's really surprising...you honestly never see that at Disney. The last, and only, time I remember seeing anything like that was when Disney was hurting post 9/11.

I saw it one other time at Village Haus restaurant in Fantasyland a few years back. I was surprised too.

I'm very surprised. I dropped part of my Dole Whip (so angry let me tell you) outside Jungle Cruise in October and by the time 10 minutes went by in line and the time it look to ride, when we came out and I walked past the same spot and it was clean and dry and you would have never known it happened.

I noticed areas that are in need of a coat of paint...I remember that never happened in the past.

I've been on the other end too. My daughter threw up right in the middle of Illuminations, unfortunately on me, the ground and herself. There was a cast member there within about 2 minutes to clean up. So it surprised me too but everyone in my family noticed it this year.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
I've always noticed that there are always lots of cups, wrappers, etc in the queue of JC. I guess people don't realize that they can't bring food or drinks on the ride while they are in line, and the CMs can't come clean it up because it would be difficult for them to navigate through the line. I think it would at least help a little if they installed some trash cans along the queue.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
Ive never seen a build up of trash anywhere on any of my trips. Occasionally Ive seen trash on ground next to trash cans, but it never stayed there long.
Back when I used to smoke, I felt realy guilty with what to do with the butts. The place was always so clean I didnt want to toss them on or put them out on the ground.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
We were just there in May, i found the parks just as clean as EVER.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
Have you been around after Wishes ends?? The trash strewn all over the ground is
SHOCKING. What gives people??? I couldn't even imagine dropping my trash on the ground and walking away.

I guess you've never been to a Major League baseball game.
Re: Too Much Garbage Or An Isolated Incident?
I saw trash several places, less so than in my daily life but more than I have ever seen at Disney. It made me sad that some guests are irresponsible slobs, and it is unlike Disney to not to be able to keep up with it. I say a little more about what I saw in my trip report, under the trip report section of the forums.

I have and I've seen what you are talking about it. Some people very nonchalantly place there trash under the seat, others very blatantly throw their trash out into the seats.
I always carry my trash out with me and put it in the nearest trash bin I can find.

No, I haven't, but it's inexcusable there as well.

I knew it! You should see how filthy a stadium is after a long game.
