Why does Expedition Everst look like this?

I don't get it. Are those 'windows' real windows for housing the computer equipment and maintenance or something? Is it suppose to be disguised as a building? I don't understand why they went with this look, and thought I'd get some ideas.

I'm not sure what it's used for, but I know that's the backstage side. Many rides will look like that from the back.

Yea, but I wouldn't think they'd do it with such a big ride. The way I come into Disney World that's the side you see, I just wouldn't think they'd leave it like that when it's as viewable as it is. Most backstages are hidden.

I think it looks like a Tibetan monastery built into the side of the mountain!

That is exactly what I thought when I first saw it. I've never been, but from what I've read that looks a lot like what I pictured.

I think you see that angle from on top of the Blizzard Beach Mt.
