| Park Hopping during New Years Week Hello all, My wife and I are heading to the world on Dec. 28 - Jan. 2. We already have it planned to stay at the Magic Kingdom ALL DAY on New Year's Eve. We even have an ADR for Royal Table Dinner. But how about the other days. Dec.28, 29, 30 and Jan. 1. Would it be safe to Park Hop these days or will the parks just be way too crowded and reach capacity? Thanks! |

| Re: Park Hopping during New Years Week The only day you need to stay in one park is New Year's Eve. Most years the park has been "closed" to new guests as early as noon

| Re: Park Hopping during New Years Week We did two Christmas/NewYears at Disney. Christmas Day at MK was ridiculous and we left. Epcot was perfect. 1st New Year-Millennium-Epcot. We kept telling ourselves to leave. Wall to wall body's. It was miserable, but since we put in so much time we stayed and we were sorry. Betting the MK was much better that New Years. 2nd New Years-MK. Almost a 3 hour wait for SM. Lines wrapped everywhere. We hit all the little attractions, CoP, TTA, Carousel, Tiki Birds. 30 minutes before the fireworks we decided to leave, were escorted out of the park behind mainstreet, Emporium side. We watched the fireworks from the boat dock right out side of the MK. It was wonderful, few dozen people, perfect view, my kids could freely move around. When it was done, right on bus to POR and into the hot tub, watched all the others scrambling into the resort an hour+ after us. Any other day we were OK with the crowds. I wonder if the crowds will be smaller this year with Seasonal Prices vs. recession??? Might be the year to go during the holidays! |
