I haven't heard anything about this recently. I recently saw a commercial from Disney about their new Verizon app wait time thing. Maybe they decided to go with that?
The DS would be so awesome though. I would absolutely love it. I hope someone has more info then me!:mickeykid
I've started a new thread about the Verizon Wireless app Disney Parks Mobile Magic. http://www.wdwradio.com/forums/wdw-t...magic-app.html
I think that Disney has scrubbed the Nintendo DS as a mobile information guide. Besides, almost everyone has a cell phone.
my sister has a verizon phone with a big screen and she got the disney parks app for our vacation over easter. it worked great. it told us which attractions had no lines.
i mentioned the phone had a big screen because it seemed to make navigating the info easier.
I've heard of something with the Nintendo's before, but I haven't heard it recently.
A lot of the features that were tested with the DS experiment wound up in Mobile Magic, which is being heavily featured in Verizon commercials now. It does require a compatible Verizon phone though.
I could see them getting some extra income if they offered it daily in the parks using some lobotomized phones like they do for Kim Possible, so people in the parks could use it too...but I haven't heard of any plans to do it.
