Can't remember EVER having gone to the right... We always go to the left!
And I've read that it's suggested you go right, 'cause most folks go left...!

It just feels natural to head towards Mexico, riding Gran Fiesta is a great way to start off the Showcase tour.

Re: Paths to World showcase

I think people go right because it's like you're driving. Walking on the right side of the walkway leading up to WS, then just following the path around starting with Canada, eh.

Re: Paths to World showcase

Is it true that you can get in to Epcot for free by using the back way?

Not that I'm condoning it or anything, I was just curious because I've heard that before.

Although there are other WDW resorts that we love, i.e. Animal Kingdom Lodge, we have become spoiled by the convenience of the Beach Club and it's proximity to both Epcot/World Showcase and the Studios. Usually arriving mid to late afternoon, by the time we get settled in it's time for an early dinner at Cape May's Clam Bake and then we stroller over to World Showcase, slip in the back gate, in time for IllumiNations.

Re: Paths to World showcase

We've actually gone both ways on given trips. But most of the time we go to the left and start with Mexico.occasionally we will go to the right and start with Canada.Either way is fine with us.Just being there is what is most important.

We always start in Mexico, but that's so we can end up in China for lunch.

Re: Paths to World showcase

I ALWAYS start with Mexico, although I've also read that most people do this, because people like to travel through parks in a clockwise motion. I've never taken the boat across, because then eventually you'll have to backtrack to see everything! I do also love using the "secret entrance" (as me and my sister have always called the International Gateway), especially at night when all the trees are twinkling...

I'd say we seem to go clockwise.... no real reason for it though, just kind of depends what ride we have come off.

Re: Paths to World showcase

Definitely Starting at Mexico. It's not really an impulse thing, that's the way we went on my first trip, and I always seem to plan dining, entertainment, etc. around that route.
