Pirates of the Caribbean

Has the ride recently been refurbed or changed in any way? we were there this weekend and saw a few things we had not noticed before. Most notably is the pirate near the end stepping into the boat. This time he had a stack of hats on his head. Am I crazy or is the stack of hats new? We have been several times in the last year and don't remember that. Thanks!

It's always been there but I read it was removed for a few months recently. I guess it's back.

I was actually looking for the hats on my trip there in December and the pirate didn't have any. I thought I was nuts as I always seemed to remember him with one foot on the dock, one foot in a rocking boat, hats on his head and a stack of treasure chests in his hands.

YAY!!! they are back!!! We have not seen them for the last two years during our december trip. Good, we missed them!

We went back to Disney for Mother's Day and the hats were no longer there. Go figure.
