1995 the 1st year we went with my girls, also went with Inlaws. This makes it so sad that we can't go this year, it would seem like our 1st all over again.

Do you know how long they are keeping it for?? Will it be there past the summer??:musa:
So far I've heard only thru august of this year.
Not even, just till the 14th. Guess what day I'm arriving? August 15th :(
My wife and I,saw the Mainstreet Electrical Parade,in 1987,and again,in early 90's and again in 1998,when we took our 7 & 4yr old girls for their first time to WDW.I have the entire parade on VHS tape(yeah,VHS,who remembers those?)It's a great parade, but it is the same as it ever was.Spectro Magic is good too,but my fav parade of all at WDW,is the Tapestry of Nations Parade, that was at Epcot for a while. At Uncle Walt's 100th birthday, the name was changed to Tapestry of Dreams, with a 3-4 minute interlude of children telling their dreams, and a big musical introduction.I have the CD with the entire parade music on it.(In my opinion, all of the extra added stuff at the beginning and changing the name from T of Nations to T of Dreams, was a little bit silly.I understand about Uncle Walt's 100th Bday and such, but why mess with something that is already good anyway?)
Anyway,I hope all that gets to go to WDW this year, gets to see the MainStreet Elect Parade. It's worth watching.(I'd sure like to see it this year.Lost my job 2 years ago,and about all I can do now,is pay bills, buy groceries, put the liquid GOLD in my vehicles, and maybe go to WallyWorld once a week.Whoopie-doo! That's ok though,we went 10 years in a row from '98 to '07 with our girls, but we're still hoping to get back.Even with our girls 19 and 16 now. It'll happen, all in God's perfect timing).
