No more movies?

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but what happened to the little movie theatre at the back of Exposition Hall? This was one of my favorite places to relax at the end of a long day. When I was at WDW the other week it was all sealed up. I asked a cast member and he said they were planning something else for the area.

From what I've heard, this is going to be the new home to the Mickey and Minnie meet and greets for when Toontown closes down.

...or maybe it'll be turned into another t-shirt shop. They need more of those on Main Street.

I thought it was part of the new Fantasyland project as well.

I've heard the meet and greet idea more than anything. If true, would be interesting as it would create alot more traffic on Main Street

ive heard almost certain that it will be Mickey and Minnie meet and greet... but i wouldnt be surprised if another t-shirt stand ends up in it...!

Yes. Main Street needs more traffic. Especially there at Exposition Hall, right as people are trying to enter and exit.

That is great because I've always thought one thing MK needs are more meet and greets \sarcasm off.

This was the one place in MK where I knew it was cool, quiet and very relaxing. You could sit down and watch a few classic Disney cartoons. Not any more I guess.

I think the trouble was that it WAS too quiet. Lots of staff on hand to help, well, not many people. Now the front of the park will be bustling. Mix that in with the characters they spread around the front of Main Street...

This was one of my great escapes also. The characters appearing on Main St. would enter and leave through this area as well and would always stop and say hi while you were enjoying a cartoon.

This area, and "Walt Disney: One Man's Dream" in the Studios are (were?) two of my favorite "get away" areas. It is a shame there is nowhere in any of the parks in WDW to sit down, relax and watch some of Walt's classic cartoons (none that I know of anyway, are there any?). This could not have been too expensive to keep up.
