no idea
I remember Lou discussing Animal Kingdom in a Podcast and he mentioned a car that is situated somewhere in DinoLand. It has a bunch of junk inside and it somehow fits into the back-story. The last time I was at WDW I could not find the car. Does anyone know where it is, or if it was removed? Thanks.

When I went to Disney for the first time there was a Magic I felt. I could do anything or be anything. No feeling would ever top this......
Then I took my daughter.
I thought there was one by the gas station, but now that you mention it, I don't recall seeing one in awhile.
I've read the backstory and thought it was cute. It makes more sense now, many of the gags and signs in DinoLand. Unfortunately, I have not been back since reading it![]()
I was just there and I don't remember a car.

The biggest problem I have with that area is that, to the best of my knowledge, nothing of the back story is explained anywhere. Now that I've read about it, I can appreciate the gags. Otherwise, I was real confused as to what the heck was going on, and why scientists would be writing stuff like that. Same thing goes with Dinoland, USA. The entire dinosaur-themed area, though cute, is very confusing at face value.
mike your right it is a bit confusing there... and BTW... how does the average guest appreciate gags and such when they dont know where to find many of these backstories...?

As a completely ignorant Animal Kingdom-goer, I have absolutely no knowledge of what the underlying concept for Dinoland is supposed to be, and thus have always considered it a little... well...
At any rate it is a nice contrast to the Jurassic Park themeing at IOA.
but see thats what i mean... even Disney enthusiasts dont know some of the stories... i feel Disney does not do a good job cluing the guest in on the story... i mean without the audio guides i would have no clue that the Emporium on Main Street USA has a back story with a known owner and how it came to be...

It seems Imagineers spend a tremendous amount of time to theme their attractions but no time to clue anyone in on the fun. I'm glad the themeing is good, but it would be better if there was a consistant or obvious way to find out the meaning of what you're looking at.
Im sure to people who aren't real Disney fans the props have as much meaning as the junk hanging up in a Chili's or Bennigan's restaraunt.

I'm not sure if this is the same car that you've heard of but I do remember on our first family trip back in '03, we spied an old Corvair sitting in Dinoland. The reason I remember this is b/c my FIL was a collector and he had just passed a few months before that trip. My MIL was with us and she and my DH were in amazement at finding a Corvair there! I do not recall seeing it since![]()
