    Back to Google Earth

    Many of us have been following the progress of FL through photographs on many Disney sights. Seems Disney doesn't like that. {{giggle}}

    Disney added new trees to block the view from Dumbo and Pinocchio.

    These are from Orlando Theme Parks News:

    Does look more appealing than the cranes and construction workers bouncing about in FL. Wonder what Disney will do about Google Earth?

    I like the trees so you are not looking at a construction site while visiting, not sure how often Google Earth is updated. Can you follow progress every month?

    Re: Back to Google Earth

    I dont know how often each area is updated on google earth. I know my DD looks at our house every so often, over the summer our July garage sale was "our" google earth, she could zoom in and pick out every single thing I sold.

    WDWNewsToday has new pictures of FL several times a week.

    Re: Back to Google Earth

    Wouldn't it be fun if they dragged an artist over from DHS once a day and he painted something on each square of the wooden wall. Guests could watch and learn and it wouldn't be as ugly. Especially for a wall that will be there for soooo long.

    i dunno if they got serious or they want it to look somewhat presentable... remember the holidays are coming and they do not want the park to look bad.. that is why all the interior work will be done by then...

    Re: Back to Google Earth

    I don't believe Google Earth is updated on any sort of schedule - more like whenever they can get updated images. I believe the previous images for WDW were from 2006 - definitely before Kidani Village broke ground.

    The FL expansion should be complete by the next update

    Re: Back to Google Earth

    yeh Google Earth doesnt update nearly enough for it to be relevant as a way to see any progress on any attraction or land...
