Yikes!!! I'd like to do it too but ouch,for my family anyways. As cool as it sounds we could stay an extra day or to in WDW for 4 tickets to the trek.
Do you have to also have admission to the park to take the trek?

I have it on good authority that such a tour is currently undoable on safety grounds, at least until the Harambe People's Liberation Army insurrection is put-down by Disney security.

You can't fire directly at Disney bushveld animals anymore. You have to wave it in the air instead, or bang it against the nearest convenient railling. At a push, you could fire in the air, but provided it is a sound-effect and nothing more.

Ideally, I'd have a rifle that had a flag pop out the barrel and unfurl which reads "BANG" after I pull the trigger.

I agree, when I first heard about it I figured it would be close to the $200 range, and I thought to myself that would be worth it!!! So $189 is a bargain!! I hope that it is around for my trip in October
