WDW Theme Parks Discuss Buzz light year ride, keep it, or get rid of it? in the Vacation Planning forums; I say keep it. I am horrible at it but I love it. My kids love to spin around- something you don't get to do on Toy Story Mania....

Buzz light year ride, keep it, or get rid of it?

I have enjoyed this attraction many times, but I feel it is time for a change. I vote for an entirely new themed attraction, using the similar video game format. Tron would fit nicely in Tomorrowland!

    Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!

I enjoy Buzz a lot. But even more so because I can get a perfect score every time.

Definitely a keeper - I love Midway Mania, but Buzz Lightyear just has a certain different charm to it. The only thing I wish they'd do is change it from the thumb trigger model, it just gets a bit uncomfortable for me after a while!

Re: Buzz light year ride, keep it, or get rid of it?

I love this ride and i was the first in my family of 4 to get 999,999! And was so cool and awesome because i am the youngest with a really competitive dad and bro. and i got in before we even left the 1st room so that made it all the better. But i do agree that a refurb would be nice and the unmounted guns would be nice. We always love this ride and a trip to Disney won't be complete without it. Now for the rethemeing comment i am mixed cause i think tron would be awesome but i couldn't imagine it not being buzz.

    KEEP IT!

You'd have my five year old to answer to. It's his favorite ride at WDW. Usually, he and I ride it while the others are riding Space Mountain. Personally, I find it fits Tomorrowland perfectly and should never be removed. However, after riding the DL version, I would like them to unmount the laser guns. It was a lot easier to point and shoot when you could actually aim the laser gun.

Now, Stitch's Great Escape . . . they CAN get rid of that attraction!
