Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
I have seen that there are a few threads about Mickey, Minnie and the Princess now being housed in the newly dubbed "Town Hall Theater"...however I am starting this thread to trigger some responses to it. So: is having a fastpass for a meet and greet with Mickey, etc. a good idea or a bad idea? Will this significantly change your fastpass strategies? Talk about those opinions here!

Disney confirmed yesterday that it comes out of the same fastpass pool so you have to choose carefully.
Also they said you have to choose either princess or mickey, cannot have fastpass for both.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
I know...and that's what makes it that much more difficult. I think it's a good idea overall, since Mickey and Minnie are so popular, but at the same token...how are people going to react when they are standing in the regular line, and fastpass people are constantly going by them, since each family spends at least 1 to 2 minutes with them. I just hope that the number of fastpasses they give out is minimal...but that would also mean they run out very quick. There are quite a number of different arguments that can be raised.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
Note: Being reported that- In future Minnie will only appear on occasion with Mickey.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
I think it is a good idea. I wish they had that when my kids were younger and we spent a good chunk of the day waiting to meet characters.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
I think it is a very good idea.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
i think its a great idea.. so we can get a fast pass for one and wait inline for the other.. but really... i dont do either.. i get the dinning deal and have them come to me while i eat and sit in a chair...lol
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
I'm not usually a big fan of the fast-pass only because some of the attractions just don't manage them fairly. We did have a chance to use the fast-pass for the Princesses on 4/9. There was no one in the fast-pass line ahead of us, and a couple of families were ushered in just before we got to the front. We only had a 15 minute wait for Mickey, so we didn't use fp to see him. BTW - the fp has a time printed on the ticket just as it does for most other tp tickets. You will only be able to get a fp for another attraction after the time indicated.

not sure im liking this idea. and since they are talkin about being able to reserve meet times now also before you arrive. it takes away the magic of waiting to meet characters. the fast pass is ok, at least you are guarenteed a time, but when it gets crowded during the summer (our trip) how will that be?
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
you can reserve time before you even get there????? i wanna know about that!!! this meet and greet is it with the new talking mickey? my daughter wants to see him
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
so far i havent heard about it being the new talking interactive mickey. i think they are addin him into the shows, but i am not positive on that. gonna look around for some info.
there is rumors going around with this next gen thing about the reserving your meet and greet times, but nothing has been determined yet. i dont know if i like that idea or not though. fastpass i can deal with, plannin 3-6 months before my trip what day i want to see mickey or pluto...not so sure.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
Any sort of implementation of the "future reservation" system is likely a year or more away. And I think a lot of people are attaching a 6 month advance on them because of the comment made that it would be "like dining", but I think it wasn't meant to mean "call up at 180 days". When it gets a lot closer to implementation we'll get better details of logistics and limitations. If they have any hope of using it in conjunction with Fastpass, it will be VERY limited.
From what I understand, the Interactive Mickey wasn't ready, but he could be used later. It's still a bit experimental.
Re: Fastpass for Mickey: Good Idea or Bad Idea
i would like to see the talkin mickey.. darn it :(
oh will.. im the kind of girl i like to get the dinning then do my meet and greets that way.. no line and they come around to me.
