I've been reading about some of the details of Fantasyland released during the D23 event.

More news on New Fantasyland

Thanks to information tweeted by attendees at a presentation at the D23 Destination Disney event over the weekend, we've got some more information about the New Fantasyland expansion. The Imagineers are working hard to make the expansion a series of "family adventures," rather than just a bunch of princess experiences, as was originally announced.

In the Beauty and the Beast-themed area, the inside of Maurice's cottage will be full of details and wacky inventions, as well as an Animatronic wardrobe. A "Magic Moment" will transport you to Beast's Castle to meet with Belle. This is estimated to be a 40-minute experience. Nearby, the Be Our Guest restaurant will feature snow outside its windows year-round.

The new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride will be a cross between The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wise Acre Farm and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There will be two lift hills and two drops, with the second lift hill in the dark inside the Dwarfs' mine. Snow White and possibly the witch will make cameo appearances in the ride.

Over in Storybook Circus Land, the new Dumbo spinner will be made by the same Italian company that made the original ride, but the colors will be much brighter, with more storytelling on the actual ride pieces.
The Great Goofini coaster will feature stunt acts gone wrong.

Meanwhile, the train station will be completely rebuilt.

This sounds awesome. I am excited to see the progress in December and hopefully to experience it in June of 2012! :)

Thank goodness! Last place I'd spend much time if it was all about the Princesses. Then again, there still seems to be more than enough Princessie things being added.

40 minutes, Wow! I wonder if there is a bail-out so you can take a peek at the wacky inventions and bolt?

Well if the snow is done right that could be a cool effect!

Hmmm....wonder if it will at least be a longer ride than Goofy's? Hopefully the seat back will not have points that jab you in the spine like the Goofy one does.

I'm most happy that the Train Station will return. We'd often hop the train to get to another end of the park when we were in the rain or our feet we tired.

Maybe they will try to explain Dumbo.. Who knows.

I think Maurice's cabin would be pretty awesome. If it's all inside that makes it even better (on a hot summer day especially!!) I am looking forward to this whole thing.

So will the Mine ride be a little crazier (wilder) than Goofy's. I mean, my family hated Barnstormer, will we be able to enjoy it while it's still good for kiddies?

This whole redevelopment is quite exciting. There has been so much new development in other parks and it will be fun to have some new adventures in MK! I am really looking forward to visiting when it is all complete. Thanks for the new info.

from what i heard the dumbo ride will have panels telling the story all around the ride itself...would be cool if they add in a water feature like at dl!

Looks promising. Hope the dark portion of the mine train is not frightful for the kids. When my DDs were small, Goofy was a good option to introduce coasters.

When will the 2012 part of the expansion be complete?

looks like their is only a couple months left on the castles.
Their starting to really come together nice.

No but behind the construction wall, work on Storybook Circus Land continues, the site is to be the first part of New Fantasyland to open.

This is going to be soo excited next year ahhhh !!!!!
