Vow Renewal Proposal

Ok guys and gals... time for some imagination! On this upcoming trip in September, I want to "propose" to my husband. I want to do it on property in some sort of unique way that fits our style. I don't want to get down on one knee, I don't want to make a big todo. I want it to be simple, sweet and most importantly, comfortable for him (i.e. I don't want him to feel demasculinated). Something that won't make everyone around us stare, clap, whatever... something almost funny for us both but non-attention grabbing for everyone else.

So the idea I'm playing with now is to propose using a groom ear hat. We're going to DtD the day we get there and spending the day/night there with the family. I was thinking of finding a way to sneakily buy a groom hat and then use it as the 'ring' for the proposal. Something cute like that.

Ideas?

I think from your dates we'll be there about the same time (my wife and our sons -7 & 9- are going to be at WDW from 9/17-9/23. We're pretty tightly booked on plans.. but wouldn't it be awesome if ...

A random stranger walked up to you husband and asked "pardon me, sir... is your name (whatever his first name is)?".. then the stranger simply hands him an envelope with his name on it and the location (like "Bob, next to the Tree of Life, Disney's Animal Kingdom") and walks away. Your 'proposal' to renew vows can be inside.

That... would be memorable. (and would not attract too much attention)

Hmmmm!! We too are tightly booked (down to what park on what day) but now you got me thinking.

I should probably have mentioned as well that the 23rd is our 5th anniversary.

You could probably have something like that work out using a cast member or who knows.. maybe even a character! Whatever you come up with will be great, I'm sure.

By the way... you're freaking me out. I proposed to my wife on 9/23/99 and we were married 9/23/00. The last day of our trip is our 11th anniversary.

It would seem that "It's a Small World" after all!
