yeh... and the new one in Times Square seems like it belongs in a mall somewhere... i actually miss the old mid- 90's Disney Stores from the mall... with the winged logo... and the moving characters near the ceiling... they actually sold some art and stuff... not like now... either toys or clothes... thats it...!

Re: What is the one thing WDW could improve on?

I posted this picture in another thread but I'll share it here, too. I was in a Disney Store in norther NJ last week and found this facade. Remember when the mall shops used to carry animation cels, Disney Classics, and other higher end collectibles? The signage was still there, but inside the rotunda was a miriad of grouped-together princess junk. Alas...

Interesting... I like the facade... But it's sad... Mike I remember them selling cells and art... It's Terrible that it has all been taken out... Almost like you have to go to Florida to get it... Or go online...

Walked by the Disney Store in Manhattan the last time I was there, but didn't stop in.

The one on The Mile in Chicago is essentially a carbon copy of the one in Downtown Disney from what I could see.

Didn't stop in and you missed absolutely NOTHING. It's a huge waste of space. The second floor has some neater stuff, but the ground floor is nothing but the same nonsense you can find at any Disney store. The Disney Co. retail division dropped the ball on a location where the rent has to be insane. Broadway in the middle of Times Square?????

I don't know, Times Square strikes me as being a tourist trap on par with International Drive (with more visual candy), so it kind of makes sense.

    I suppose...

Slightly smaller version, but the merchandise seemed about the same.

And there's a Disney Store on State? I'm a huge fan of Quartino's so we often find ourselves on State, but I don't recall ever seeing any kind of Disney store there.

Makes sense, but even from the outside, it doesn't scream "Disney". Somehow, they just botched the job, start to finish.

On State just about at Washington.
    Some people are like Slinkies.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

    The price.

It's not like Disney isn't making a profit. For once, I would like the ticket price to decrease. Don't they know how much positive press that would get? If they keep raising the ticket prices and resort prices at the rate they have been, they will price themselves out for a family to visit.

I don't see them dropping prices for admission. They're already giving away free dining to patrons to get them to up their resort of choice to a moderate. They keep saying that they are going to do away with it but have not yet done so. Maybe after they are done enticing families with dining, they could consider lowering prices. Though somehow I think we all know...

I know it's a business. But, I am more of a Walt than a Roy.
