Word is that Dumbo will now be opening Mid March instead of Mid February as previously anticipated. It was expected to be a draw for the All Night Madness of February 29's 24 hour event.
Now Dumbo will likely will open as part of Phase I.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Ugh, I'll be there the week of the 24 hour Leap Day Event and I was looking forward to checking it out. I haven't been on Dumbo in years!

Two to three weeks doesn't seem too terrible considering Disney's foleys of the past. I guess that's what happens when Dumbo debuts Dumbo.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

Actually I thought about that when I heard about Disney deciding to open Dumbo a month later instead. Not your exact scenario since you were going one way or the other but go with it...Originally Posted by DopeyDancer87
Disney knew by the time they changed the Dumbo debut date how many rooms etc. the 24 hour announcement was going to draw. ding ding $$$ So why waste Dumbo? Instead wait few weeks, Disney can do a separate hype. The Grand Opening of the majority of Story Book Circus, minus Pete. Phase One. It will draw again the media attention along with every podcaster, author, web sight owner and besides the attendance they will get tons of Press. Add to that the regular guests that wouldn't miss it. Pushing Disney out of the lean winter months into Spring Break.
While I find it annoying, I must admit Disney is Brilliant to pull back and let the 24 hour day stand on its own.

For the first phase, I thought they were opening the first ring with the new Dumbo cars. Then, opening the second ring later with the current Dumbo cars. Do you think they now plan to open both at the same time????
Below is a youtube video of them testing the new Dumbo attraction (they spin counterclockwise). I know they need to add all of the Dumbos. But, if they are at the stage where a construction worker is riding in one, they must be close to getting all the kinks out.
