Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
NOTE:
IT IS ILLEGAL TO SPREAD HUMAN ASHES ANYWHERE ON WALT DISNEY WORLD PROPERTY!!!!
THE BELOW IS JUST HYPOTHETICAL.
I have "joked" around with my husand that when I pass, I want him to sprinkle part of my ashes at Walt Disney World. Then, it got me to thinking . . . Where??????
Where in Walt Disney World would YOU want your last remains to be sprinkled????? This is all in fun and not meant to be mormid. So, keep it FUN!
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
After much thought, I came up with an "obvious" choice . . . The Haunted Mansion.
My family loves this attraction! It's a "must" each trip.
BTW - Over the years, a few people have tried to sprinkle ashes on The Haunted Mansion. They had to stop the ride and "clean up". There are cameras EVERYWHERE on property. So, I highly DO NOT recommend attempting this.
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
In the old shack in the bayou on the Pirates of the Caribean.

Greatest thread ever!!
It's an interesting, yet amusingly morbid, question. Right up my alley!
And a tough question to answer. I REALLY had to stop and think about it.
Still not entirely sure, but I'd say in the pond/stream that the water wheel at the Swiss Family Treehouse uses. I remember being so fascinated with that spot when I was a kid. So serene, yet so cool at the same time. Plus, I'd get to ride to the top of the treehouse everyday. And I'd be within smelling distance of the eggroll cart. :)
Somebody should alert Lou to this thread. I'm smelling the next Top "Ten" w/Tim!
TX, you are my new hero!

HA!
Actually, the Pirates queue was one of my considerations. It's always cool so I won't have to sweat out the brutal Florida summers, and it's just plain cool. The detail of it always blew me away as a tykster, and continues to to this day.
To think this thing was built in the 70's, and few queue's that have come after even begin to approach it in depth and detail. Everest likely beats it, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.
Pretty amazing accomplishment for WED Enterprises way back in the dark ages.

My DH, on the Golf Course, the hole with the Mickey. :mickeykid
Me, we have a family stone with our names on it off in the middle of nowhere, quiet, pretty, overlooking the lake. There.
And if the family ever wanted to visit me, they could wave and say Hi! from the monorail. :dizzy:
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
I also will go for the Haunted Mansion, even though it's kind of the obvious choice. The DW has promised that, should I go first into the unknown, she will attempt this, regardless of any potential legal consequences. I would settle for the graveyard outside, too.
As many of you know, supposedly one of the "real" ghosts in the HM is the ghost of a little boy whose mother spread his ashes in there, after being told by the WDW brass that she couldn't do it.
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
Pirates has an appeal - maybe next to Captain Jack in the final scene (closest I'm gonna get to JD!)
Anywhere but It's A Small World - imagine that song for all of eternity!!!!
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
Well, If my cremated remains are to be scattered, I guess If I could just be sprinkled little by little as someone walks around the MK. If I'm to be kept in a little container, I guess you can leave me in the last scene of POTC. I'd blend in with all the other trinkets.

I'd like WS Lagoon during Illuminations
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
I keep thinking of these prison break movies where they're chipping away the wall in their cell, putting the dirt in their pockets and when they go outside you see it dropping out their pant leg. Maybe someone can do that with me.
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
Pirates, in the scene at the beginning with the skeletons and the crab. Did they take the seagull out?

That would work well! Right out the boat window!
Re: Where in WDW would you want your last remains to be laid?
One of the last things my wife told me was "Don't take the kids to the cemetery to visit me. Take them to WDW because that's where I'm going."
My daughter Jessica believes that the 4 heart shaped fireworks in WISHES is Mommy sending us hugs from Heaven. She says she lives just above the castle.
