Star Wars Weekends question
I know that all guests are allowed to dress us for Star Wars Weekends, but I have a couple of questions...
First, I am one of the uber-fans who has come up with my own personal Star Wars character. I'm not worried about the costume being inappropriate (only bare skin is my arms, neck, face, and what little is shown by the v-neck top--which is next to nothing). I also have a plastic lightsaber, so it should be pretty obvious that she's from a galaxy far far away.
What I'm wondering is, would I be allowed to dress as my own character for Star Wars weekends? The outfit does involve some very minor face paint (just a couple of light blue markings, it doesn't disguise me at all) and a pair of fin-like wings--yes, wings. She's half human, half a race of my own creation. The wings shouldn't be a hindrance for anyone around me, they're not that big. I could leave the wings and the face paint off if they will be a problem.
Also, I've had an Anakin Skywalker costume in the works for some time (yes, I'll be dressing as a boy), and it should come out looking pretty screen-accurate. Would I get in trouble if my outfit is on par with the workmanship of the 501st members who will be present?
Re: Star Wars Weekends question
1) Yes you could
2) no. you just wouldn't be allowed to act AS the character (so no signing autographs, ect).

So the wings and face paint won't be a problem? And between my parents following me around and my voice clearly being a girl's, I'll be cool with the Anakin costume?
Re: Star Wars Weekends question
I don't see why not, unless the wings are gigantic
Re: Star Wars Weekends question
Nope, they're flat against my back and stick out less than Tinkerbell's.
