NexGen Gearing Up, more FP attractions being added

Disney has applied for 6 additional FP permits, 2 of which have yet to be identified but are not Coaster and Sea's in the FLE, yet they will also have FP's.

So now get your FP for Aladdin, PoC, Small World and Haunted Mansion. Disney previously took out the FP for HM cause it wasn't needed. The missing two have Monorail Way as the permit address however Disney is notorious for blurring their plans.

Soon we will be counting the attractions that don't have a FP.

Really?!

I can't even recall the last time I stood in line for more than 15 minutes waiting to get inside.

What's next? FP for Swiss Family Treehouse?!

And they added that interactive queue, the queue causes back-ups, so add a FP?

Not entirely sure why they need permits.

With the exception of Aladdin, they queues are practically already set up to be able to handle it. The HM queue redo seems almost tailor made - the new area is for the standby queue to keep the guests occupied, while FP holders bypass it.

But as said, it isn't needed. I was there the week of July 4th, and didn't wait at all at either HM or POTC.

I think they are just trying to build up what xPASS/FP+/whatever has to offer, needed to not.

Likely HM new queue was indeed made for this. By making more and more attractions FP's they are almost going to be creating long stand-by wait times where there wasn't for these before. I have to keep to a schedule in my business I will not be amused when I have to plan more of my vacation than I already need to now. We generally filled in attractions like PoC and SW between FP's, we have enough of this at DHS trying to fill time between shows and FP's.

If this continues to unfold like it seems it is heading what will happen to those guests that book a trip that wasn't planned 180 days in advance? When they find all the FP's are not available or those off property that cannot obtain a FP early on. Will guests really need a hopper pass then if they preschedule their entire attraction list from a laptop.

I just cannot imagine Guest Relations when Space is down for a half day like it was when I was there in April, it didn't open again until the next morning. How will guests keep up with their schedule when something isn't operating? Come back later and skip what is on the itinerary instead?

B-but, if the parks are normally only at 40% capacity, what does it matter?

Yet another reason why I will have nothing to do with FP.

Ya, while busy not the busy the parks use to be on major holidays. When we did the 4th it was nasty warm too, but not nutty crowded like pre-9/11 and recession levels. Guests like us that hop upto 3 parks in a day warp the attendance so it isn't really as crowded as numbers reflect. Glad it worked out for you.
