OMG! What have they done now!
Disney certainly needs to stop fixing what isn't broken. Look at what they have done to the CM's costumes.
It is a throw-back in time to my polyester childhood. Disney said they were going to go from old fashion to modern in updated costuming. Updated to what millennium? Those poor cast members.

The Canadian outfits are 1000 times worse.

Seriously? Did you see the new ones in person or in Photo's posted. I've looked I can't find any posts about Canada's CMs.
Couldn't have said that better!
What is the point in dressing up a CM like Grandma of yesteryear. I have pictures of my Mom maybe late 60's early 70's dressed like that. No wonder why the CM's pitched a fit.
Re: OMG! What have they done now!
The first two look like they work for an airline. The second two look like they should be taking orders at a drive through or perhaps driving the Magical Express.
Re: OMG! What have they done now!
It's going to ruin everything.
Re: OMG! What have they done now!
i think they are trying to go way to generic with these costumes... the old ones worked because it seems as though each country has traditional costumes... these look like an attempt at contemporary instead... I dont think they work...
Re: OMG! What have they done now!
I'm canceling my trip to Epcot this Christmas.

You're absolutely right. I mean, if America is not safe, then who's to say that Norway's costumes aren't safe either? I can see Epcot's attendance starting to dip severely over the next few months until Disney realizes what a grave error they have made. Guest dissatisfaction will tell the tale in ticket and merchandise sales. If I hadn't already cancelled my Christmas trip this year, I'd probably have done so now.

I'd have to say it's official: the terrorists have finally won...

Nope. I just don't see it as a change for the better for the Cast or the Guests.
Re: OMG! What have they done now!
These costumes are horrid, OMG! No, the costumes will never stop me from going to Epcot, but I'll probably feel a bit sick each time I look at them. What were they thinking??? This changes the atmosphere quite a bit, I'd say.

A bit sick?!
My goodness, people...

I think you hit the nail on the head. It will change the atmosphere of the World Showcase if they continue to pull the cast members out of period clothing and into generic clothing. I hope they stop the make over with these cast members and don't intrude into the performers at the pavilion.
I rather enjoy throught WDW the cast being in costumes appropriate to the roles they are assigned. I think it adds to the onbiance of the attractions, it is one of the things that has set Disney apart from other theme parks. They could go generic and start removing more attraction specific costuming, I bet the Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror costumes are pricey. They could change all the hotel costumes and easily put hotel lobby CMs in generic suits too.
