    Dwarf Coaster

Decided the Coaster should have its own thread now that it is a year or less away, likely.

The Disney Blog held a live chat today and said they reached a milestone, they can now drag/pull a coaster on the track.

The height requirement for now will be 38 inches.

    Photo's provided by Disney:

And they commented on new tech but to be on the look out for "old" favorites.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Looks pretty cool! Can't wait to try it out.

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.

They are not giving a clue to when in 2014, only 2014.

This might hold you over for a while:

I'm reserving judgement for now. I know it isn't like my favorites, the Thunders, Everest.... The height requirement of 38" is kinda telling of the type of coaster it will be. Thunder is 40", Barnstormer is 35", So between the two thrill meter?

That's pretty much what they told us to expect from the beginning. I have no doubt the ride will be fun, but I think they're running themselves into trouble spending 6-7 years on FLE and not giving the public a true E-Ticket.

It is going to come down to quality and the length of the ride too. Under the Seas can't keep their animatronics operational. This summer certain Ariel's looked like she had one too many Kungaloosh's and like she was falling off a bar stool into her princes arm. That being a new attraction is worrisome.

The rocking will be very interesting if it is fun or annoying being sloshed from side to side. Also the speed within the mountain. Time will tell. While the area is very pretty there is a whole lot of nothing so far. For guests that don't favor the on-slot of all the new meet and greet areas or children still afraid of them this seems to be the direction of the whole area. I'm not impressed with the offerings so far and I don't like how it doesn't blends with the older section of Fantasyland.

Last month, I could see that the seam in the back of one of the Ariel's was opening up.

As for the coaster, they did the first full gravity drop test today, and apparently it made it all the way around...

Earlier today, Imagineers and Design & Engineering marked a milestone in the construction of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park.

Last week, the team completed the carís first push/pull test, and today marked the first time the train ran under its own gravity and completed its first drop out of the station.
As a reminder, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is set to debut in 2014.

Easy on the criticism, please. Disney is still relatively new to the world of audio-animatronics so there are bound to be some kinks.

Still no official date, but there is a press preview/dedication that will include the Mine Train among other things April 30th-May 2nd.
