Among the dirt and mud up pops the first theming on Dwarf Mountain.
I'm so stoked about this ride !!!!!
I'm wishy washy about Dwarf. It will be perfectly fine and any attraction at this point is a plus, but I am guarded as to how much I will enjoy it as a coaster. Guarded is better for me than being excited and disappointed.
A rumor started floating yesterday that it would be summer not spring but I could not find confirmation anywhere for that one.
more of the vultures today, on the Offical Disney Blog, so must be a big deal.
Think the big news here is they worked on the project at night, something that didn't seem to happen often on this project.
I'm all for anything having to do with villains, so to me, these vultures are a nice add.
Here Mike, I thought you'd enjoy these old tweets I tripped on from one of the Disney Legends speaking about the extraordinary long time it has taken to build Dwarf......

@IgerWatch @cameronv522 I would have had it finished by now.

@EisnerCEO @igerwatch how many of those did I build?

@IgerWatch you're not as bad as @EisnerCEO was in the end

Construction doesn't take as long, when you hire crews to work 24 hours a day.
Still saying Spring.
Interview with Imagineer Dave Minichiello about Dwaft
I just want the ride to open so we can all experience it finally. Having said that, love the vultures!
Can't wait! Just had my 2013 trip and seeing the construction was agonizing.
Just got back from WDW and I couldn't see half of what you've been posting here, so thanks. The one part of the construction walls that allows visitors to peek into the construction area isn't showing much. Either that or I didn't look closely enough. We truthfully didn't spend much time in New Fantasyland because truthfully there just isn't much there. Finally rode the Ariel ride (walked right on the night of the Christmas party and had a FastPass on my regular visit three days later). Walked through the Belle gift shop and popped my head into the tavern (limited choices for meals, from what I could see) and we pretty much left. Same thing with Storybook Circus. Besides the nicely themed gift shop and one ride on Dumbo (another walk-on thanks to the Christmas Party), the appeal isn't there.
Welcome. What did you think of Mermaid? Dwarf is still being slated to open in 'spring.' Nothing more, nothing less.
Funny side note, tonight ABC (Disney) is running Harry Potter & Sorcerer's Stone in Prime Time. I fail to understand Disney's complete business model. I get ABC picking the best and most popular movies to run in prime time and Disney always runs Harry Potter on ABC and ABC Family.
Still you'd think the entire business model right now wouldn't call for airing Harry Potter when the competing theme park is about to launch a new Harry Potter land up against Dwarf. Almost like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Strange business model.
