Gary Estrada has made his mark, riding Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion ride for the 999th time -- on Halloween.
"Whenever you reach your goal it's just a relief," Estrada told a Disney employee.


Estrada rode 999 times because that's how many "ghosts" are in the attraction. He's the first person -- to Disney's knowledge, anyway -- to hit that goal in just 10 months. Estrada began his marathon riding in January

As much as I love CoP, I love it because of how infrequently I ride it. Really makes me appreciate it more. I think if I started riding it over and over and over again, it really would get old fast.

I didn't anticipate that being a problem, but just in case, here's my precautionary announcement:

I could marathon any disney ride if i had the time. My brother and I went on ToT and RRC so many times in a row that i dont know how i ate lunch. We woulda done more but we had to leave the World that day. Maybe next time ill try a new ride to go on for awhile(that is if my friends dont get so sick of it that they drag me out of the ride) I'm thinking CoP would be quite fun. There are so many little details that it would take awhile before it become tedious.

Maybe a few times around... but I'd need a break after a little bit. It's not the ride that gets old... it's that song!
