A sit down restaurant named "Cinderella's Royal Table" and an apartment that was originally intended for Uncle Walt and his family, but now serves as a dressing room for any characters performing on the Forecourt.

    the castle in WDW
on the 2 nd. level (as far up as a guest can go) - has a restaurant and is called Cinderella's Royal Tble (i think) ::scratches head::

and there is a shoppe (don't remember the name)

originally there was supposed to be an apartment in the castle for Walt Disney but wasn't used for one because he passed away, and none of his immediate family wanted the apartment for themselves

so it was used for the operators but they outgrew that as an office and now is just used for storage (once again i think)

if anyone can back me up??

when we were on our KttK tour and he told us that the apartment was originally going to be built for Uncle Walt and since he died in 1966
his immediate family was asked if they would like to have the apartment for themselves
and none of them wanted it
so they used it for their operators up until they outgrew the office

The apartment was actually designed for Walt and his family, but since he passed before the MK opened, it was never completed.

Standing in Fantasyland by the carrousel, look up at the castle for three thin, blue stained glass windows. That's where the apartment was supposed to be and the staging room currently can be found.

ok Walt Disney is the one who came up with the plan for the FL project and that means he made the plans for the MK and Cinderella Castle and the plans for the castle also showed the blueprint for the "apartment"

do u not watch any of the specials on WDW
where they all show and say that the apartment was built for Walt Disney

and if you go on the tours they say that it was buitl for Walt
and if you read stuff it even says so

    esigby,

That is true, but the architectural drawings for the Castle had been completed long before construction on the project began. Walt worked very closely with John Hench on the design of both the exterior and interior of the building.
