i know they are adding a whole bunch of new do-dads and what not for the summer and the "1st phase" of refurbishment is done so my question is is it open for the spring break season. I am going to be in MK this wednesday and would love to see any of the new stuff they have in there. so does anyone know if it is open for the public and if anything new is actually in there?
According to the Operational Updates on the WDW website, PotC is open for the entire month of April, and will continue its rehab on May 1.

Yes it was!!! it opened at about 12:30, I worked the shop on Friday....BELIEVE ME....IT WAS OPEN!!!!!

Does it close on April 30 or May 1st? We arrive on May 1 and I would RUN there just to do Pirates on our trip!!!

Open and here's my news about it.
- The sound was waaaaaaaay better period.
- In the area with the huge ship the lights were super bright and the boat seemed a little lower. Also a cannon on the ship hit me in the face with water. I have never seen this happen before so no idea if it is new or not.
- Definetly could tell the animatronics were cleaned up
- Some animatronics seem to be missing because it felt like there were less pirates
- The dog in the jail scene has been changed to be more like the movie one.
- PETE IS GONE!
I went a week ago and this is what I saw and noticed. I go basically once a month to MK, once a week to a park. Lol. So I could be wrong on things, lemmie know.
