    Disney with strep throat

My brother's girlfriend and I went to Disney for five days in July 2002 to celebrate my college graduation. By day three it was obvious I had strep throat. I still spent full days walking around the park. It was the most fun strep throat has ever been.

    Baloo ate my head

I was watching old home movies of my '89 trip. I was 4 years old and I went to hug Baloo. When he leaned down, it looked like he went to chomp my head off. So when you look at the picture you don't see my head.

    Welcome to the Family.

Said to me by a store mananger on Main Street shortly after I was given a pin and the honor by a CM in the Town Hall that said "Honorary Citizen of Walt Disney World".

Thanks for bumping this thread up- reading these made me a little teary eyed.

    Walt: absolute long-range thinker!

One of the things I love about WDW is how it's always changing but Walt saw it all coming. It's almost like he had a looking glass (maybe Leota's) and could tell how successful this was going to be and how wonderful and how it would keep re-inventing itself and be absolutely fantastic years later.

    Behind The Scenes Tour

Wish I could remember what this was called but it was just for kids and I did it about 21 years ago (ugh...).

    Niece speechless among princesses

Took my niece on her first WDW trip when she was 4. We had CRT breakfast reservations and meeting the princesses was all she could talk about. When they actually appeared she couldn't say a word.

    Plaza Restaurant During Downpour

Two trips past, I was at the Magic Kingdom with my family. It was one of those grey days when you know rain is coming - you're just waiting for it to arrive. Well, arrive it did, and MAN, did it arrive! It didn't affect us too much because we had ADRs at the Plaza Restaurant, so we just made our way over there under as much cover as we could find. We sat in the gazebo room and saw tons of people literally sprinting for the exit. Just as we were finishing dinner, the rain stopped, and we walked out of the restaurant into an almost-empty Magic Kingdom. That was a very nice, wait-free, ride-full evening.
