    I never knew there were shoes there in the first place.

    So here's a guess - people were putting their feet in and getting stuck. :->

    I will guess it is because guests thought they had to remove their shoes and there were too many barefooted people running around.

    You got it iwannabeminnie. A lot of guests from Asia were familiar with customs in their countries in which you remove your shoes when entering a temple. So when they saw the 'disney' shoes outside, they took theirs off. Unfortunately when they'd get off of the attraction and come back for their shoes, they'd be gone.

    n Disney's Animal Kingdom, Asia is represented by a fictitious village known as "Anandapur." What does this name mean? And from what language is the word "Anandapur"?
