When WED began constructing the props and set dressings throughout 1969 for Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, they simply made two of everything: one set for Anaheim, and one set for the Magic Kingdom. The pieces destined for Florida were then put into storage until the show-building there was ready to be outfitted.
As a result, the Haunted Mansion was one of - if not the - first attraction completed in the run-up to October 1971.
