On July 23, 2001 The Disney Vacation Club announced it was going to build a 600-unit ownership development on a 61-acre site along side the Disney's Eagle Pines Golf Course at Walt Disney World Resort. Apparently the plans were put on hold after the September 11 attacks that year put a severe crimp in the tourism economy since I have not heard any thing more about it.
