Tape, of the 'duct' variety. Next to a towel (as per The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy), this has got to be the most useful item for any travel kit. Much like the Force, duct tape has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together (in some cases, it can indeed surround us and bind us as well, making it the US Navy's favorite babysitter).
The possibilities are limited only by your imagination, but here's one tip you won't find in any guidebook--if you are ever blessed enough to be invited to an after hours cast member party, use a small piece of tape to conceal a handcuff key somewhere upon your person (trust me on this one).

Xavier Roberts, the individual responsible for Cabbage Patch Kids. When they're out of FastPasses and the sign says "120+ minutes from this point," announce to everyone in line who he is. Any and all parents in line who happened to have been caught in the madness of the 1984 holiday shopping season will no doubt leave the queue to give chase; dramatically reducing your wait time.
