I think that's true that it is a different brand now, but I was thinking of the way the bars physically look.

I agree with Pat. I don't remember there being a chocolate "shell". I was just chocolate and vanilla ice cream with the face.

You guys have combined to get the correct answer. The original bar was vanilla ice cream, with chocolate ice cream for the eyes and nose, and then chocolate ears that were dipped. I really miss these and wish they'd bring them back for something special occassion. MK's 35th Anniversary anyone?
