Last year, we honored those who celebrated their love of Disney in their jack o’lanterns.  This year, for the month of October, we are asking you to send us pictures of how you incorporate Disney into your Halloween decorations.

Do you have tombstones of the Haunted Mansion ghosts outside your front door?  Do you have Vampire Mickey and Minnie on your mantle?  Do you have a great Disney wreath on your front door?  We want to see your magical (and not-so-scary!) Disney homes!

Please send send no more than 3 pictures of your Disney-inspired Halloween decorations to Christy@WDWRadio.com by Wednesday, October 24.  Please include a brief description (where applicable) of what you did to Disney-fy your home for Halloween.

We will post all the entries and ask you all to vote to determine whose entry is the most magical!  The winner will receive a WDW Radio prize package with a special Halloween touch!

This past weekend we celebrated EPCOT Center’s 30th anniversary, and I once again want to share with you an interview with someone who knows the park and it’s history very well, as he was there far before it opened to the public. Disney Legend Charles Ridgway joins me to discuss not just the opening and early days of the park, but working closely with Walt Disney, his vision for EPCOT and how closely the current park may have followed his dream. We talk about the challenges, people, attractions, characters, executives and much more, as Charlie recounts stories that have never been shared before. We discuss how EPCOT has changed and evolved through the years, why we look to the past to gaze into the future and much more.

Star Wars Weekends returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World beginning May 18 and will once again be a destination event for Disney and Star Wars fans alike. This week, I want to introduce you to Casey Jones, a Senior Character Artist for the Disney Design Group. A former comic book artist for Marvel, he now helps to create some of our favorite icons and merchandise in the parks and Disney Cruise Line. From Vinymlations and the Park Starz series, to the Muppets and recent re-introduction of nostalgic items like the Little Orange Bird, Casey shares how these items came to be, from their concept to production. We also discuss Marvel and Disney, what’s coming to Star Wars Weekends, advice for others, what we think or would like to see come next (including Avatarland), food, and much more.
