Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #238 for the week of September 4, 2011.

This week, I’ll be joined by a special guest, all the way from Yew Nork City, the Biggest LIttle Star in the Galaxy, Sonny Eclipse. Actually, it’s Kal David, the voice of Sonny Eclipse from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. We’ll talk about how he won the role of Sonny, what the experience was like, Kal’s other voiceover work at the parks and more.

I’ll then invite another listener on to play Walt Disney World Fact or Fiction, where I ask a series of true or false trivia questions for a chance to win some prizes. I’ll then tell you how you can have a chance to play and win as well.

I’ll have some more information about our 40-Hour live broadcast from Walt Disney World on October 1 to celebrate the parks’ 40-year anniversary, as well as some additional updates before playing play more of your voicemails at the end of the show. Walt Disney’s “Florida Project” brought to Orlando the magic of Disneyland, and plans that would expand upon that idea to a working city and so much more. And while we all have heard the tales of the trips to the Florida swampland, you may never have heard the stories of some of Walt’s original plans for his second theme park. This week, we’ll look at The Walt Disney World That Almost Was with author Chad Emerson, and explore some of the untold stories of where in the world Walt Disney World almost came to be.

I’ll draw a name and randomly call a listener to play Fact or Fiction, where I’ll ask 10 true or false trivia questions about Walt Disney World to give them a chance to win some prizes.

And planning can and should go beyond just where to stay, when to eat and how to maximize your time in the parks. In fact, there are certain individual aspects of your trip that if planned accordingly, can really enhance your family’s vacation. And for many, finding and obtaining character autographs and pictures is an important part of their trip. Chuck Lionberger joins me this week for some “Practical Planning in Every Way,” as we explore some strategies to help maximize your time, and number of characters in and out of the parks.
