How to Apply
Disney Parks will accept applications for the 2013 Walt Disney World Moms Panel from 9 a.m. EDT on September 10, 2012 through September 14, 11:59 p.m. EDT., or when 14,000 applications have been received. Those interested should visit disneymomspanelsearch2013.com to enter. The application process includes a series of written questions and submissions, with the final round in the form of a brief phone interview. Once the search is complete, the top candidates will be officially announced as members of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel in January 2013. Panelists must be available to attend a training session at Walt Disney World Resort in December 2012.

News from Walt Disney World starts off this week’s show, as we talk about how you can check in online before you arrive at your Disney resort, fun sporting events taking place this month, and a great way to spend an evening at the Flower Power Concert Series as part of Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival.

I am happy to be joined this week on a roundtable discussion by some of the greatest moms around, for they are some of the members of the 2009 Disney Moms Panel. This group of real-world moms (and a dad) offer advice to Guests traveling to Walt Disney World through an interactive Q&A site at DisneyWorldMoms.com. The moms join me to talk about the experience, some tips, some interesting questions they’ve received and lots more. It’s a fun conversation with some people who share our passion and get to help others with their questions.

I talk all the time about how Disney World is for everyone and how accommodating they are to so many people. What many don’t realize is that Disney also helps to recognize and help those people who serve the United States through military and uniformed service. Through a variety of programs, offerings and daily ceremonies, Disney makes it easy and affordable for military families to enjoy all that Walt Disney World has to offer. Staff Sergeant Mitch Brannen joins me to talk about the military’s private resort on property, discounts and benefits for the military and their families, as well as an often-overlooked, yet wonderful daily ceremony in the parks that every Guest should enjoy.

I’ll announce the winner of last week’s Walt Disney World trivia contest and give you the answer to the questions, and give you another opportunity this week to test your knowledge for a chance to win a prize package.

For some time now, I’ve been telling you that I’ve been working on a number of things for the show and site, and it’s time for me to let you in on what’s been going on backstage at WDW Radio, and what’s coming in the future. Welcome to the WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am Lou Mongello happy to back with you again this week, and this is show #78 for the week of August 3, 2008.

In this week’s breaking Walt Disney World News, I’ll have information about a new dining package coming in 2009, as well as some changes to ticket pricing. I’ll update you on the new Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and some other changes around the resorts. In the parks, I’ll tell you how and when you can audition for a new attraction in Walt Disney World, and in the Rumor Mill, I’ll give you a hint at what movie is being rumored for a new attraction in the parks.

Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams has always extended far beyond the handing out of physical prizes in the parks, truly embracing its namesake. In fact, it has really always been about making dreams come true for people, and often times, dreams they may never have known they even had. Whether it is giving a family a night in a Castle, or crowning one man Chief Magic Official, it gives people opportunities never before available. And for 12 lucky, talented people who love Walt Disney World, their dreams came true as well, when they were selected to the Disney World Mom’s Panel, an online forum where Guests could ask the experts and gain insights about planning their Walt Disney World vacation.
