Walt Disney World Rumor Mill for the week of September 16, 2007

This coincides with the rumor from some time ago that a new Apple Store may be the flagship store for the Western Way development. My source went on to say that usually, a large company, or anchor store like this, is used to entice other vendors in to premium prices. No contract was provided (when requested), but it does appear to be a very strong consideration.

Chris Laning, co-host of the “Your Neighborhood Stage” community theatre podcastsent me an email about something that MAY have a future impact on Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The article reports that Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood has been sold, which may or may not affect the copyright and licensing issues which may have caused the placement of the Sorcerer’s Hat at the Studios. It is unknown at this time if this change in ownership could lead to new discussions with Disney. Read original article here.
