This week, I thought we would head on over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park (DAK) to look at one of my favorite tips and a not-so-secret “secret” that many people tend to miss.
Now that the weather is heating up and continuing to rise at Walt Disney World®, one of my favorite things to do while I am at DAK on a hot day is to ride the Kali River Rapids®.
There is nothing better under a hot Florida sun than to get soaked in water to cool down anyway you can, especially during the summer!
For those of you that have not gotten the chance to experience the ride, add it to your list of rides to go on next time you are in the park. You get to climb aboard a river raft that takes you down rapids through many twists, turns and drops all while getting wet! To some, this may not sound very appealing, but if my mom is able to force herself on the ride to cool down, anyone can do it.
My quick tip this week is not on the actual ride itself but actually towards the end of the ride:
If you head towards the final stretch where you can see the river rafts, look for the water guns! By pressing a button, you can activate the elephants to spray guests. This is a lot of fun to do, but remember, if you end up riding the rapids yourself, don’t be shocked if you get an extra “surprise” before you get off the raft.

How many of you have had the chance to use the Kali River Rapids® water guns? Have you gotten sprayed by them before, while on the ride? Comment below!
