shopDisney: Disney “Tsum Tsum” Plush and Gaming App

shopDisney is a bi-weekly blog that will focus on Disney merchandise and products sold in the parks, in Disney stores, and in other retail markets.  We will explore product reviews, affordability, and to whom the products are marketed.  Like any other good product review, we will conclude with a rating scale for several different key components: price, age group, and whether the product is a “must have.”

LINE: Disney "Tsum Tsum"WARNING: If you are not ready to become addicted to a new product line or a new mobile game, then you need to stop reading this blog right now.  If you haven’t stopped reading then you are already addicted to the world of Disney “Tsum Tsum’s” or you are needing a new game to eat away at your downtime.

The app, LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum (which is equivalent to Disney Stack Stack in English) and the plush line originated in Japan about 9 months ago and was released in the United States early July 2014.  Disney has also, in both countries, released a plush line as well, which has become very popular already in Japan.  I imagine this will quickly follow the path that Duffy did when he was released overseas and then came to the United States parks.

LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum:

I learned of the game on Twitter and quickly went to my app store to download it on my phone.  At first I assumed that it would be one that I would grow tired of quickly and delete, but I was very surprised at how much I enjoy it.

***Insiders Tip:  One thing that should be explained is that you can play with other friends and be able to give them lives and help them along, but you will have to download and become a user of the LINE app.  This app is one that is used in Japan to allow users to make free telephone calls and send free texts.  The registration will ask you for your phone number and other information, but I have yet to receive a call or text on mine.  In order to connect with other users, you will have to become friends on the LINE app first and then you can connect with them through the game.

Once I began playing the game, outside of the LINE network to begin with and then I was forced to start over after playing for a week when I did connect, I could not stop.  I was constantly waiting for new lives to appear and then using them as soon as they did.  The game is simple, connect the like Disney characters of three or more and gain points and coins.  What I love is that you can purchase new characters and use them in the games as well!  The characters are adorable and honestly, it’s just a game that you can lose yourself in.

Disney “Tsum Tsum” Plush:

Disney Tsum Tsum PlushThe plush line that has been released on disneystore.com comes in three different sizes, Mini 3 1/2”, Medium 11”, and Large 17”.  As of now there are around 25 different characters and sizes that were released, but if the line becomes popular, I can imagine that they will release more as soon as they can.

I hope that you enjoyed this look into the new world of Disney “Tsum Tsum” and that you find the plush as cute as I do.  If you end up connecting to the LINE app, I can be found under my twitter handle of: ajwiseman09.  Don’t blame me for getting addicted to this wonderful game.  I did warn you at the beginning of the post!!
