Center Stage: The First Order Stormtrooper March

It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan!  Not only are there new books and new movies, but on the horizon is a new Star Wars-themed land in a galaxy not so far away at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As everyone anxiously awaits the construction and opening of Star Wars Land, Walt Disney Imagineers are priming guests with a new stage show, Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, and a rumored, upgrade to the evening firework space symphony, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.  If you have not yet seen either of these two shows, check your Hollywood Studios times guide, and give yourself extra time to claim a piece of sidewalk for you and your family/friends to be immersed in the sights and sounds.  You won’t be disappointed!

But there’s a third Star Wars show at Hollywood Studios that has made a surprise arrival. With impressive, heart-pounding music, Captain Phasma and a squad of stormtroopers march in formation from the Star Wars Launch Bay to the Hollywood Studios center stage and “interact” with the audience.  It is unlike the Star Wars parades from the past, and if you aren’t familiar with the fury of the First Order, you might be a wee bit intimidated.

As of a week ago Monday, the Stormtrooper March was not yet added to the printed times guide.  We suggest you check with a Cast Member and have your cameras ready.  In the meantime, you can get a taste of the fun by viewing the very rough video we captured by phone.
