Walt Disney World POP! Quiz – Sleepy Hollow

One of the things I love and appreciate most about Walt Disney World is the fact that everything speaks and often has a very interesting backstory. From the architecture, to the array of colors, to the horticultural landscaping, the dedicated Disney Imagineers ensure that all design aspects work together to create a cohesive story. No building, shop or sign is overlooked on the quest for guest immersion. For me, one of the true jewels of such detailed theme-ing can be found at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square. Here, hungry guests will find sizzling doughy funnel cakes topped with sweet powdered sugar and crisp dessert waffles piled high with fresh fruit or ice cold ice cream. All of these confections are served at a rather unassuming quick service eatery.

I’m of course talking about Sleepy Hollow (I know some Disney fans refer to this establishment as Sleepy Hollow Refreshments or Sleepy Hollow Inn, but the proper name is Sleepy Hollow….I like Sleepy Hollow Refreshments though!) Taken at face value, this building and kitchen viewing area may not seem like much – just a red brick building that prettily blends with the colonial feel of Liberty Square. But just like Aladdin‘s diamond in the rough, there is much much more than meets the eye!

Erin Stough has always loved Disney, but the magic of the parks truly captured her imagination during a mother-daughter trip in 2001. The obsession began and Erin hasn’t looked back! When she isn’t devouring Disney related books, Erin spends time with her wonderful (and patient) husband and super pup Milo.
