Pizza in 180 Seconds at Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza

img_7912Who loves pizza? This girl does!  So when I heard good reviews about Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, I headed to Town Square at Disney Springs to experience it first-hand.

My first tip—don’t let the line that extends out the front door persuade you to move on.  Take a deep breath, sniff, and let the aroma pull you into Blaze Pizza.  The line moves fast and once you’re in the door, a friendly Cast Member will tell you about the variety of pizza options.  In my case there were lots of questions and at no time did she use the word “no.” Can you make a pizza with half and half toppings?  Yes.  Can you add toppings to any of the Blaze signature pizzas?  Yes.  Does Blaze Pizza accept annual passholder discount?  Yes.  Can I taste any toppings before I select them?  Yes.

All Blaze Pizzas are one size—11 inches—but their choice of toppings make up for this small shortcoming.  Meats, veggies, cheeses, sauces, high-rise dough, vegan, and gluten-free.  You can choose from their list of artisanal signature pizzas or build your own.  Just follow the assembly line, watch the construction of your pizza, and Blaze Pizza will pop your epicurean creation into their 900 degree F oven.  180 seconds later—voila!

Located in Town Center at Disney Springs, Blaze Pizza was packed with Disney guests and Cast Members on a lunch break.  A Cast Member sitting at a nearby table said it was a favorite because the meal was reasonably prblazeiced, the restaurant accepted a variety of discounts, and it was tasty.

Blaze Pizza is a far cry from the Neapolitan style pizza that is served at Epcot’s Via Napoli and the personal size pizza served at Pizza Rizzo.  But it has pizza made from scratch, it has super thin crust, and it has a wide range of healthy artisinal ingredients you may not ever consider adding to a pizza.  Best of all—it tastes good and you will enjoy the novelty dining experience.

There are many Blaze Pizza locations across the United States, but the location in Disney Springs is one of the latest and one of the few counter service options in Town Square.
