WDW Tip of the Week – Online Check-in

Have you ever tried online check-in at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel? If not, you might just want to consider this option for your next trip.

With online check in, you can actually begin the check-in process to your resort 60 days before you arrive. Just provide your travel information as you would do at the front desk and answer a few quick questions about room preference. Your information will be stored and you will receive a text message when your room is ready on your arrival day. You will not need to visit the front desk or wait in a line, as your Magic Band is your room key, park ticket, charge card and has all your meal plan info. This is a super convenient service, especially if you are traveling with children or just eager to settle in and get your vacation started.

For guests picking Magic Bands up upon arrival, there is a designated spot to do a quick pick up in the lobby of your resort. Overall, this service provides guests with a quicker and easier way to get to a room. I have used online check-in a few times now and had success each time. During my last trip, I flew out on a six am flight with three very tired teenagers.  You can imagine how relieved I was when I got that text message telling me my room was ready! The best part is, we were on the Magical Express when the text came in. When we arrived at our hotel, we got off the bus and walked right into our room. You cant’ beat that!
