For many Walt Disney World guests, September is the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. While this year’s Festival boasts an extended length (it even sneaked in a day in the month of August), there is a whole other new food opportunity that started on August 25.
The Visit Orlando Magical Dining Month is in its 12th year, but for the first time, select Walt Disney World restaurants are getting in on the fun. With a preview week that began on August 25, the event runs during the entire month of September and ends on October 1, 2017 (Update: Because of time lost due to hurricane Irma, this event has been extended to October 12). Designed to feature the vast culinary offerings and talented chefs of Orlando, restaurant patrons are given the opportunity to enjoy a three-course meal for just $35. Each participating restaurant has crafted a prix fixe menu that includes options for an appetizer, entree and dessert. While some of the items offered appear on the standard dinner menus, a few of the choices are unique to this event.
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, guests visiting one of the participating restaurants need only to ask for the Visit Orlando Magical Dining Month menu, no coupons or vouchers necessary. In fact, no other discounts can be combined with this event. The only other stipulation is that meals cannot be shared.
Not only is this a great occasion to visit a new restaurant or try a new menu option, one dollar of every Visit Orlando Magical Dining meal sold is given to charity. This year’s recipients are Freedom Ride and BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Participating restaurants on property include select locations owned by Disney and also a few that are independently operated. To see the prix fixe menu each location is offering, click on the links below:
