My husband wanted to find a special way to mark a certain milestone birthday for me in 2014. We had been to Walt Disney World many times together, but never at Christmas. Since my birthday is December 6, he planned a surprise trip to celebrate. We called it my Merry Birthday Celebration!
Even though it was a short weekend trip, we were able to experience Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and see Cinderella Castle all dressed up in lights for the holidays. It was so beautiful and such a special trip!
We have been lucky enough to have Merry Birthday celebrations in 2015, 2016, and 2018, and we even celebrated in Magic Kingdom over my birthday weekend this year. There may not be a Christmas party in 2020, but we still enjoyed the holiday treats and new projections on the castle. Plus, this year was extra special since we moved to the Orlando area in April and we truly are home for the holidays!
