As you know, the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend was originally scheduled for the weekend of February 18-20, but unfortunately was
cancelled moved to a virtual event.
And while that is a wonderful option, it doesn’t address what I feel is the most important part of the weekend. It’s NOT about the running, the cheering, or even the eating (I know… I can’t believe I said that, either)… it’s about the people. The friendships. The handshakes and hugs. The laughter. The memories.
But then again… it IS about the food, isn’t it?
Well, I just couldn’t sit by and let another weekend and event pass us by without doing something about it.
I have been working, and honestly struggling for months trying to find a time, place, and WAY for us all to get together again… and I have finally been able to do it.
And for all of you that are not able to don your tiara and sparkly skirt and run that weekend… this is for YOU!
I’m putting my own spin on that regal weekend, with a very special event IN PERSON… IN Walt Disney World… and IN one of my favorite places.
Whether you are a runner or walker, a supporter or cheerer… or even if the weekend for you has nothing to do with princesses, medals, or any sort of athletic participation on your part… this event is for you.
And in fact, WDW Radio’s 16th anniversary is February 11 (even though technically, DisneyWorldTrivia.com started in January, 2004, but go with me here), so there is a LOT to celebrate this month… and reasons to get together.
And so I want to introduce and invite you to a celebratory event…
You are cordially invited to the WDW Radio Perfectly Princess Happy Anniversary Coffee and Donut Breakfast Event (the actual title is still very much a work in progress)
Please join me for a safe, socially responsible, small gathering of members of the WDW Radio family at one of my favorite new haunts… Everglazed Donuts in Disney Springs.
On Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, BEFORE Disney Springs is open to the public, a very small group of WDW Radio family members will get together in the Donut Garden and patio of Everglazed for coffee and donuts to celebrate YOU, and the amazing community you have created.
Tickets are $16 per person, and includes one non-alcoholic coffee, tea, soda, etc. and one classic or funky donut with ticket (sandwiches and other items on the full menu will be available for purchase after Everglazed opens at 9am)
We are creating a safe, responsible environment where we will be able to adhere to all guidelines and mandates, yet still come together.
Temperature checks will be administered, tables will be physically distanced, and guests will be required to wear their face coverings other than when actively eating or drinking (additional details and instructions will be sent to ticket holder prior to the event).
To effectively execute this, this will be a VERY small event with very limited number of tickets sold for this event.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me before purchasing your ticket.
