There are a lot of exciting things coming up in September, including Disney+ Day, D23 Expo, and plenty of premieres to get excited about!
This year, Disney+ Day was moved forward and Rogue One’s spinoff series Andor was pushed back to book-end Disney’s D23 Expo. Disney+ officially launched on November 19, 2019, and the following year, we got Disney+ Day on November 12. Now the new international “holiday” for Disney fans has been pushed up to September 8 to coincide with the kickoff of the D23 Expo.
So for this preview, I’m going to be featuring the new content dropping on Disney+ Day. This is sure to be a month to remember! Let’s get ready for it with the September 2022 Spoiler Support Preview.
September 8 — Disney+ Day
Cars On the Road
Go on a cross-country road trip with one of Pixar’s most famous duos! Lightning McQueen and Mater are back! Also back are Owen Wilson (wow!) and Larry the Cable Guy to put rubber to the road and head east — of course, shenanigans ensue.

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder
The ASSEMBLED series returns with the thunderous cast and crew of Thor: Love and Thunder. Will the quirks of Taika Waititi steal the show? Or will we be left breathless by hilarious bloopers? I can’t wait to find out! All I know is, it’s bound to be as epic as an Asgardian cape.
Obi Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return
Get ready for at least one “Hello There” from Ewan McGregor, and infinite smiles from this chronicle of the Disney+ Original Series Obi Wan Kenobi. Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, The Organas, Jawas! Are these random words or the collection of characters that came to life in our living rooms during this series? Who’s to say. BUT we get to go behind the scenes to witness how the magic made Kenobi ignite like a Jedi’s Lightsaber.

Pinocchio
There are no hand-drawn strings on this wooden boy! The live-action remake of Walt Disney’s Pinocchio is here with Tom Hanks as Geppetto and incredibly charming CGI effects! Let your conscience be your guide as to what you will watch first on Disney+ Day, but this reimagining of a Disney classic is bound to be a good place to start.
Remembering
Ideas and imagination are as integral to humanity as breathing. Watch ideas come to life with Remembering, a short film starring Brie Larson. Not much more to say about this one. Could be a secret gem on Disney+ Day.
And that does it for the September 8th Disney+ Day preview! What are you most excited for? Is anything else coming out this month for Disney fans to be hyped about? Let us know in the WDW Clubhouse on Facebook. See ya real soon and may the force be with you!
