Stockings Full of Magic

–Erin Stough, WDW Radio Team

In my family, Christmas stockings are a big deal. In many ways, the Stough family Christmas stockings are the true stars of our holiday celebration. Even though my sister and I are well into adulthood, my mom always goes out of her way to pack our stockings with some of the coolest and most useful goodies.

This tradition has been one my husband and I have adopted and since we adore all things Disney we have a great time filling our stockings with Disney trinkets. But what if you want something other than keychains, magnets, and pins – can you still find Disney stocking stuffers? The answer is “yes”! During our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, we found some excellent and a little unconventional stocking stuffers while traveling across Epcot’s World Showcase.

Basin is a great place to shop for stocking stuffers! Basin stores can be found in three different locations in Walt Disney World – The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney Springs, and a pop-up store in Epcot’s World Showcase. Full of spa goodies like bath bombs, scrubs, hand carved soaps, bath salts, and lip balms, Basin has something for everyone on your list. I personally like anything Disney-themed and they do not disappoint. The different sizes and shapes of products are also a plus when trying to stuff a stocking.

The Mitsukoshi Department Store located in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot is full of fun and unique trinkets. Besides the cute stationary goodies, Mitsukoshi Department Store has wallets, snacks, candies, chopsticks, personal spa products, and many other items perfect for a stocking. Keep in mind Mitsokoshi Department Store opens at 11am and does not offer Disney Vacation Club or Annual Passholder discounts.

Looking for something for the little ones on your lists? Epcot’s Germany Pavilion has you covered with these fun Playmobile character surprise packs. Found specifically in Der Teddybar, each pack costs around $6.99 and comes with one surprise character inside. Currently, there are two packs to choose from – pink which has more fantasy inspired characters and black which has action/hero inspired characters.

These are just a few of the wonderful novelty items to be found around World Showcase. What are some of your favorite stocking stuffers?

My name in Erin Stough. I’m an avid bookworm and Hogwarts student wannabe. My first trip to “the World” was in third grade and I’ve been hooked since. My love for obscure Walt Disney World trivia, back stories (especially about the resort properties), and details led to my writing for the WDW Radio blog since early 2016. I became a proud Disney Vacation Club member in 2004 and my husband and I discovered (and fell in love with) the Disney Cruise Line in 2013. When my nose is not buried in a book, I love listening to new arrangements of classic Disney songs, watching Disney live action movies from the 60’s and early 70’s, and spending time with family.
