Are you a Disney fan eagerly awaiting your next trip to Walt Disney World? Well, get ready to be excited as the park has announced several guest-friendly updates coming in 2024 to make your planning experience simpler and more enjoyable.
First, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets starting from January 9, 2024. This means that guests can purchase their tickets and select a start date of Jan. 9 or later without needing to make a park reservation.
Second, Disney is introducing ‘Good-to-Go Days’ for Annual Passholders and Cast Members. On select days, Annual Passholders and cast members may visit the theme parks without needing a park reservation. Good-to-go days may vary by park, and pass block-out dates and capacity limitations will still apply.
Third, the fan-favorite Disney Dining Plans are returning for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package. Guests can choose from two popular options: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. Both plans will be great for families with young children and offer guests the convenience and peace of mind of pre-paying for their meals and snacks.
Fourth, the early theme park entry and extended evening hours will continue for Disney Resort hotel guests who can enjoy early access to the parks and extended hours on select dates at select parks. Early theme park entry and extended evening hours require valid theme park admission and a Resort ID.
Finally, Disney is simplifying the Disney Genie+ experience by allowing guests to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit. While they are not yet able to share specific details, Disney plans to give guests the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park and more time enjoying their visit with friends and family.
All in all, these updates will make planning your future Walt Disney World visits simpler and easier, so you can enjoy all the park has to offer and make more memories.
