WDW Radio Disney Book Club: New Year, New Book – The Vault of Walt by Jim Korkis

By Liz Driscoll

I am happy to be your book host for the first book of 2012. When I’m not in Walt Disney World, I am often reading about Walt Disney, the theme parks, or fiction stories based on Walt Disney World property.

As for my Disney history, I went to Walt Disney World for the first time when I was five years old. Being one of eight children, I didn’t go again until I was ten. While I continued to visit Walt Disney World as an adult, my Disney passion began seven years ago. I have visited Walt Disney World about twelve times in the past seven years. Online communities have helped me to connect with Disney friends I would never have met in my day to day life. In the non-Disney world, I am a teacher who enjoys bringing a little bit of pixie dust in the classroom each day!

With a new year, we will be starting a new book! We will be reading Jim Korkis’ The Vault of Walt. Jim Korkis has been a guest on WDW Radio discussing Disney history and the stories he is working so hard to preserve.

It is also available in Kindle format for instant download and enjoyment.

The Vault of Walt is organized in themes. Each theme contains stories, anecdotes, and quotes that Jim has saved from being lost forever. We will be following the themes and choosing a few stories to enjoy each week.

In order to give book club readers time to order, receive and begin reading The Vault of Walt, we will start posting about this book on January 22nd, 2012.

Here’s to a new year full of health, happiness, and The Vault of Walt!
